3. Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer

Title: Eclipse
Author: Stephenie Meyer
Genre: Young Adult
ISBN: 0-316-16020-2
Pages: 629
Rating: 5/5

About this book: (3rd in a series)
As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob - knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But which is which?

My thoughts:
Wow, this book was fantastic! I couldn't put it down and finished it in 3 days. Which is record timing with a book this size. I don't think there was one part of this book that I didn't like. The world that Stephenie Meyer created when starting these books have reached so many readers in such a short time is completely and utterly fantastic. Up until today, I thought that this book was actually going to be the last book of the series and I was so disappointed, but I found out that Meyer's is making a fourth book so this puts a smile back on my face. So anyways, this book is probably my favorite out of the 3 books. There was so much more suspense in this book than the others. I loved the fact that Bella didn't just forget about Jacob since Edward came back. I was quite afraid that that was going to happen. So that made me happy. Although I must say that I was rooting for Jacob the whole time since the 2nd book when Bella was spending time with him and what not. I'm glad that Jacob made Bella realize that she loved him at the end of this book. That made me happy but then sad that she still chose Edward over Jacob although that's not surprising that she did. She kept saying throughout the book that she couldn't live without him. So...it was a typical ending to say the least. I love Alice and how she's always wanting to throw these parties for Bella even though Bella hates them. I was really fond of the scene where Edward proposes to Bella and everything. I thought that was so cute and sweet. So like I said, this book really hit the spot and there wasn't anything in this book that I didn't like. I will have to reread this series before the 4th book comes out.

I totally agree with you aside from the Jacob part. I kind of hate him. *shrug* Then again he is a lycan and reminds me too much of a southern boy which is totally not my taste hehe. I am allowed my biased opinions xD

You should check out my book review <3
Hey, I tried looking up your book review on Eclipse in your journal and I couldn't find it. Let me know how to get to it and I'll definitely check it out! :P
Oops, I suppose I should be clearer when I say check out my book review. I just started doing them this year hehe. I have one up for Laurell K. Hamilton's A Kiss of Shadows.
told you youll love it *brags
Yes you did tell me that I loved it and I most certainly did. It was amazing. Did you know that she's writing a 4th book to the series? I didn't know that until yesterday so I'm really excited about it.
go on her website you can read deleted chapters from teh first 3 books
I'm also looking forward to the books from Edward's perspective - you can read Chapter 1 on her website - it's completely self-indulgent and I can't wait!

I like Jacob but I love Edward. He could have been two-dimensional with all that beauty, but he had sharp edges and that element of danger and mystery, and sadness...

Actually, this threesome reminds me a lot of a similar threesome in a fantasy trilogy that I finally finished recently (took me a while to find the third book), called The T'En trilogy. I've got the review up now if you like. If you like the romance aspect of Meyer's books then I think you'd like The T'En Trilogy (it's more than romance, by the way, but it does play a big part).
I totally loved that series, too! You should totally join us over at 50/08 (50books.ning.com) -- I'm Eliza, and I found you via the addmy_readinglj comm. ;-)
